STONE COUNTY, Miss. — A Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy lost his life early Friday morning after his patrol vehicle struck a horse on Highway 15, according to reports from Dark Horse Press.
The victim, Deputy Joshua Brashears, was driving home after completing his overnight shift when the fatal crash occurred. The accident took place just before 6 a.m., approximately one mile inside Stone County, authorities said.
